Moonee Valley City Council has developed a new Draft Road Safety Plan (2009-2014), which will greatly enhance the safety of all road users within the municipality.
This is an important five-year plan for Moonee Valley. Through this new Draft Road Safety Plan, Council aims to bring together key players like Victoria Police, VicRoads, community groups and residents so that we can all work together to achieve increased levels of safety on not just roads, but on bike paths and footpaths.
Council has already undertaken many projects over the past eight years, and has seen fatal crashes reduce by 18 per cent from 1998 to 2007, however, more work still needs to be done.
